Donkeyman! 👍😇😇👍
As long as there are negotiations including fishing rights, it is politically impissible to formulate policies, and conditions for fishing permits. Have the UK set any allowable quota, or are there no limits?

Its nothing to do with you anymore, other than to apply for our
permission to enter our waters for the purpose of fishing??
Any quota's or permits etc will be issued at OUR discretion with
no leave to appeal !!
You will be treated fairly and many of our own previous dry land
fishermen will find themselves in the same boat as the eu fishers!!
Pun intended!

That may be, but have you seen any publication by your government about the TAC (total allowable catch) for any species of fish from your waters? I haven't, so by januari 1 british fishermen have no license to fish in british waters.

By the way, will english fishermen be allowed to catch fish in scottish waters? Fishing is a devolved subject, so it is for the scottish to issue permits. The same for irish and welsh waters.

I think the EU, certainly the Dutch and the Frogs, are showing just how irresponsible they are in dragging out of the sea just as many fish as they possibly can before our waters are denied to them.

Why, then, are not all the bleating eco-warriors up in arms about this?

Actually, some of them are: Greenpeace are presently dropping large boulders in some of the protected areas in the hope of fouling the nets of those supertrawlers - and good for them.

Because they have no legal point of engagement. The TAC and quota are determined in cooperation with the UK, and are legally solid.

As you know there is no more fishing this year in these areas. The season has closed.
Greenpeace dropped these boulders in advance of next year's season when british fishermen will catch fish in the same waters. Since the UK didn't stop fishing this year, greenpeace expects they will not next year. So next year british fishingboats will tear their nets on these boulders.....

https://unearthed.greenpeace.org/201...-uk-fleetwood/

In England and Wales particularly, overseas owners have bought up vast swathes of fishing rights. An Unearthed investigation last autumn found that around half of England’s quota is held on Dutch, Spanish, or Icelandic-owned “flagships”, so called because they sail under a British flag.

One Dutch multinational alone controls around a quarter of English quota.

The decline of the British fishing industry began some years before the EU’s common fisheries policy (CFP) took effect. And decades of mismanagement by UK governments, which have seen fishing rights first commodified and then consolidated in the hands of a small and wealthy elite.

Re: Barnier Turns a Blind Eye to EU Destruction of Fish Stocks

My main concern, and I believe that of everyone, is the irresponsible activities of overfishing. According to the press, the worst offenders are the Dutch supertrawlers. It doesn't take a giant leap of understanding to realise that if this is allowed to continue, we are likely to end up without any fish.

I believe that the best solution is to first take full control of our own fishing areas, whether our fishermen want to use them or not.

Limited fishing could be permitted, on licence, to other nations as long as they are closely monitored.

As our own fishing fleet expands once again, the licences issued to other nations' fishermen must be reduced and if they don't like it, we'll have to become rather more forceful and protective of our own.

Of the 25 supertrawlers fishing in UK waters, 15 are russian. These will not be affected by your brexit. I haven't seen ane reports you british took them on. Probably because boris is funded by them?
