Mind you, ultra-frum are something else!

There's the story of one guy who'd snuffed it and arrived in heaven only to find a great feast taking place.

Someone asked him if he would like some food

"Maybe an orange" he replied

"but I'll peel it"
They are known to be anti-Zionist. They think from what I've read that Zionism with its secular approach has brought all the problems to the region.

They are free to go elsewhere instead those who live in Israel enjoy the protection and freedom provided by the Israeli government and armed forces to live their lives as they wish .

That would be something they could easily do!

Oh wait ------
Here's a few ideas

Re: Gaza/ Israel

I don't think any of us want to make the lives of the people in Israel worse muddy, we aren't against the people living there, it's their government seems to be the problem and I don't think boycotts really stop them, they just affect the normal everyday person.

That's the problem all round really if the politicians in all these countries were bombing each other we'd have no problems with it, it's that children and innocents get caught up in it that angers us.

Re: Gaza/ Israel

It's the Hamas leaders who put their people in harms way Julie .
No country and Israel is no different -allows others to fire rockets at its civilians.

Or fires missiles from schools and hospitals .
Which is what Hamas does .
It has has 70 years on provoking Israel .
70 years of living of international aid .
It could have made its country into something great .
It could have been the Singapore of the ME but a country needs peace to prosper.
Instead it has brought suffering on its people
It would not provoke Russia or Turkey or most other countries in this way because it would be annihilated .
Israel could easily flatten the Gaza but it does not it only retaliates .
But why should the Hamas leaders care ?
They are not living in the Gaza .

And they would say the Israeli's steal their land and fire bigger weapons at them. Someone needs to be the bigger person and stop TBH I'd have thought the Israeli government could stop moving onto other people's land and share the water and that might be enough to calm it down. This has to stop somewhere.

Re: Gaza/ Israel

Julie which land exactly have they stolen ?
Re water its the Middle East water is a scarce commodity for all.
There are water restrictions in many ME countrues .
Perhaps instead of building tunnels and rockets in order to murder Israelis they could have spent some of the billions they have received in aid on a desalination plant.

Re: Gaza/ Israel

A great deal of criticism is leveled at Israel for opposing a "Palestinian" state.

But let's just run through what WOULD happen and that quite apart from the hamas lot having given a promise in the name of Allah quite apart from never recognising the right of Israel to exist.

Timeline.

Palestine recognised as an independent nation.

Treaties of mutual self protection signed with Jew Hating nations all of which must abide by the dictates of Islam.

An attack against (say) Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish people.

Then another with no meaningful attempt to find and punish the perps or maybe at most put them through the revolving door of "Palestinian" security forces.

Then some more

Eventually Israel has no option other than to take out the trash.

Treaties triggered and quite literally all hell breaks out.

The Masada shall not fall again - unless it takes down those attacking it.

Scorched fields? One hundred million degrees Kelvin doesn't scorch, it glassifies and let no one doubt that is what would happen if push ever came to shove.

You are anti islam anti muslim, we get it, you don't have to hammer it home in each thread you post in. What I find sad is if anyone carried on like that about Jews or the Koran they'd get suspended or banned but it's OK apparently to be anti Muslims.
