Titanic

No matter how many times I watch Titanic that scene where the boat comes back looking for survivors never fails to fill me with sadness.
The music itself is so poignant a great film.

Re: Titanic

I've not seen Titanic, I keep promising myself I will watch it, I think it will be my type of film!

Re: Titanic

It was ten years after it came out I eventually got around to see it!
Went with a friend one Sunday afternoon...we had the cinema all to ourselves!!

Re: Titanic

Great film but I can do without Celine Dion's tedious and overwrought theme song, which seems to go on longer than the movie itself

Re: Titanic

I went to see it when it came out. I thought it was amazing. Kate was stunning and Leo was hot. Never saw either of them in that way again. Then the shock to discover her fiancee with the full head of raven hair was bald in real life. Beautifully made 90's schmaltz.

It's a classic song, Muddy, but I think it's of its time.
Bit like Bryan Adams' Everything I Do, or Whitney's I Will Always Love You. All a bit of a dirge!

Re: Titanic

I was surprised how good the film was but "A Night to Remember" with Kenneth Moore will always be the definitive Titanic movie for me.

Re: Titanic

Quite agree Bruce - a far more realistic film even if lacking all the bells and whistles of the later version (no puns intended).
