Christmas Lunch.

Hi

What are you having?

Are you a traditionalist or having something different?

Do you all eat the same or cook different things for the littlies?

Re: Christmas Lunch.

I haven't decided yet , I might make some goats cheese tartlets or just have home made soup and olive bread.
Food holds little pleasure for me these days. I like to keep things simple and my weight down to help my badly behaved heart.

I used to spend hours at Christmas queuing at the farm shop for organic pork or fighting my way through the hoards in Waitrose, no more thank goodness I have all I need to see me through the nonsense that is Christmas except some fresh fruit and vegetables from the small greengrocer.

Re: Christmas Lunch.

We are having smoked salmon & prawns on a bed of salad leaves, dressed in light mayonnaise, to start.

The main course is roast rump of beef with all the usual trimmings and, as nobody wants Xmas pud, we are having Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Go for it Swimmy if it makes you happy .

Gone are the days when the 'Christmas dinner' was special because food of any kind was in short supply, now food is readily available rather than a novelty and many can have exactly what they want to eat any day.
