Ashes to Ashes

I thought I'd never like "Life on Mars" but I got hooked on it. I missed a lot of the early ones though. I recorded it to watch Sunday nights when there's nothing on. For some reason Gene Hunt was very funny! Loved Sam!

Now that's finished, "Ashes" is on instead now. Is it any good?
I watched a bit last night and found it a bit contrived, got too tired to watch it all. I haveit on record for later but not sure if it's worth keeping.

I seem to remember it was every bit as good as Life On Mars but that could be just me remembering Keira Knightley wearing stockings .

I set y machine to record it although never watched Life On Mars
Keira Knightly ? I thought Keeley Hawes was the star of this ?

You are right. Apologies all. So sorry but Keeley Hawes in stockings will do just as well as Keira. (BTW, I always get those two mixed up.)

ATA is worth watching if only for the explanatory denouement at the end which was utterly unforeseeable and brilliant.
