Swim
On days with glaring sunshine I just tend to point and press because i trust my phone camera to do the focusing for me..
Take a few from different distances and angles. They always look great later when reviewing them inside in the shade.
And you can always use the crop tool to improve the composition or to zoom in.

I want to see this garden work in progress!!!

I agree. I also take quite a few in the hope that one or two will be in focus, then I can delete the fuzzy ones. This bodes well when photogaphing dogs and cats that move around a lot.

Yes indeed, as Maxi moo was just a blur in 90% of my beach snaps!

Touch the screen where you want to focus on and wait untilphone says its focused
