Practical Skills.

Do you have any?

Not sure practical is a skill?

What are you really good at practically?

Come on sell yourself don’t be shy?

Nothing wrong in Sharing what you are really good at?..imo anyway..maybe some will disagree.

Yes you are.

You are excellent with dogs...as much knowledge as most vets.

But, maybe not in the operating theatre.

If I have a question about my dog, you are always there first..which is much appreciated...

Re: Practical Skills.

Not 'skills' but as someone without any spare cash for most of their life I have turned my hand to most things including installing a large kitchen from scratch (using the existing plumbing ) decorating, tiling, gardening, minor repairs, carpet laying, curtain making . The only skill I have learnt is dog trimming.

Being short of cash should not be an excuse for having a shabby home, most things are not difficult if you use common sense and give it a go.

I can turn my hand to anything, but something usually gets broken when I do.

Re: Practical Skills.

I have a myriad of practical skills learnt through a lifetime of hard work but the practical skills that I always desired, such as playing a musical instrument or painting a picture escaped me entirely.

Re: Practical Skills.

I’m the same as Barry in some respects, car maintenance, diy, electrical, plumbing, garden maintenance, plus 30 years engineering experience, but most learnt through necessities and enjoyment
