It has been raining on and off all day with a lot more to come this weekend - flood warnings out all the way up and down the coast.

Went to the optician's this arvo, haven't been for a couple of years, apart from the optician herself was also consulted by four machines. The optician no longer bulk bills so I had to pay $150 but will get $58 from Medicare. I thought it was quite reasonable for all the checks they did - looking at glaucoma, detached retina, cataracts and something to do with the back of the eye as well as an eye test. It took over an hour.

Will go back tomorrow for a pair of glasses because I decided that I couldn't see well enough today - drops and colouring in the eye for some of the tests.

Anyway not looking forward to the weather on the weekend.

It's fairly dull & cold here, and I have lots of food in so I won't go out

To remind you, one of my hobbies is making knives
I've had a knife on the go since before Christmas, but one way or another it just took ages to get around to finishing it

Well I finally completed the carving yesterday
Today i'll make the sheath, and that will bring me up to date and the decks cleared
