Re: Nature

Great pictures Shirley, I've only ever had fleeting glimpses of deer while I've been out walking.

Re: Nature

Thank you Abby, I looked at the images, yes it could be a type of Neurocolpus . Stink bugs seem to found in hot climates other than ours, mind you, the Sunflower arrived from nowhere so it could have carried the bug with it.

Re: Nature

Good job with the spider, Clumsy. I didn't like spiders at all until I began to see some in bright colors..

The Golden Silk Spider, this is the first one I ever saw...they are a lot bigger then any others I have seen also.

Re: Nature

Great photos ShirelyMarie. I can't say I'm a spider fan, I'd scream the place down if one ventured anywhere near me, but I do think they are fascinating. The one in my photo is just across the road from us in a corner of a little piece of community garden. The web is approximately 8 inches off the ground between some plants. We do see quite a lot of these spiders but normally they have laid their eggs and spun their little cocoons round them before now, the big spiders tend to disappear after that so presumably the babies hatch out and disappear too. Some of these spiders are really huge, scary looking things, but as long as they leave me alone I'll leave them alone.
