Is nothing sacred. Jack & Jill .....the truth

No more cover ups

Pail in Comparison.

You don’t still believe all that stuff about Jack & Jill do you? Let’s look at the evidence .
”Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water”
Who ever heard of going up the hill to fetch water ,it should be down the hill , somewhere in the valley, of course.
“Jack fell down & broke his crown”.
I submit that Jill mugged Jack for the troy weight value of his new solid silver pail. She was heartless.
“Jill came tumbling after “
Too right she did, after over balancing by not taking into account the weight of a solid silver water filled pail.

Yes Robert some of them are misleading alright
One fairy tale that always baffled me as a child was Cinderella, especially the part with the glass slipper, who in their right mind would have slippers made from glass?, my parents always told me never to walk on glass, cut the feet off you.
Another thing about that story was how politically incorrect it was to call the sisters ugly, that's not a very kind way to let young girls know they may not grow up to be raving beauties is it?, then poor Cinderella has to rake out the ashes from the fireplace every morning without the benefit of plastic gloves, can you picture the state of her hands, like an old gravediggers hands I'd expect, not a great attraction for a Prince, if he ever did marry her he would never sleep peacefully in his bed knowing his wife, lying next to him, had the hands of the ripper, God help him.
The Prince in question did call to our house, he wanted to know if the wife's foot would fit into the crystal slipper "Her foot wouldn't fit into the Crystal Palace, your highness"

On the top of the 'South Downs' above Brighton are two windmills - famously named 'Jack and Jill'. There was an incident there a couple of weeks ago and the sails from one of the windmills have been stolen.

Thanks for that UJ. Whatever could anyone have wanted Sails without the windmill itself.?

I am reminded of a similar theft many years ago,, whenas a child I had endless hours of pleasure travelling around the local countryside with my stick & hoop. On a bright summers day I stopped at the Bottle & Jug of the pub known as the "Flying Pisspot" ,So called following the War time years whenthe landlady was in th e habit of tippin the contents of her po out of the upstairs window onto Yankee G I s who she considering too rowdy.
Anyway, while I was in the quueue for the bottle & jug y precious hoop was stolen.
"Is that alll" I hear you saying. Disaster for me cos I had no way of getting home without my formof transport

Well I was very disappointed with Jack and the beanstalk. Firstly Jack is conned out of his mothers cow at the market and brings back beans (not even jumping beans at that). He then chucks them away like a litter lout, ignoring his mother's pleas to clean up. He lazes about until one day he notices they have grown out of all proportion. Against his mother's wishes, He climbs up the beanstalk and, uninvited, enters somebody elses property and commits a burglary - running off with a golden goose. When the orgre rightfully wants his property back, what does Jack do - Jack commits murder, chopping down the beanstalk and causing the poor old ogre to break his neck. Jack happily goes off to spend his ill gotten gains - not even buying his poor old mum another cow - and he still hasn't weeded that flipping garden. That boy will end up in prison or become a millionaire - I'm sure of it.

Now 'Humpty Dumpty' - this story is a bit sus... Did he fall or was he pushed... Considering all the Kings men 'and' their horses couldn't reassemble him, OR chose not to, it seems a deliberate act... A push - by golly - a shove !
