Where Is Our Summer?

Where is our Summer, Oh! Where has it gone?
Now there is a space where the sun, it once shone.
Very cloudy with rain, forecasters do say,
The sun it will not be out there today.
August half over, no warmth do we see,
Someone go up there and set the sun free?

My lament on our Great British Summer weather.

Rain and more rain would be my wish-the garden is still dry and I am on a water meter.

Same here Young Git. The last time we had as dry a summer as this one was 1976 .

Well, be glad you have had summer this year. We are still waiting for it here, and the lawn has been too wet to mow for several weeks now…And it's definitely on the chilly side.

I have just finished sweating my way through a pile of ironing and it's not the ironing really caused it, we have had a couple of days here and there of rain but basically hot hot hot for a couple of months now.

I don't often sweat I glow but for my holiday the last week
it has been dripping down my forehead
Unfortunately it was not in Notts it was in France.
That's where it has gone
Better than the forecast in July for us in the UK when they
said that beginning of August would be about 38degrees
That would be boiling as I was in 33 so no ironing those days for me
Blame it on the Jet Stream. Its over Spain instead of North of
Scotland hence the lack of the great Summer predicted.
Feel sorry for the people in Asia who are going to get the worst
typhoon ever recorded. Has anyone seen the photo of the weather
chart and all the colours. Its amazing to see but boy am I glad I
am back in England if that's what they get.

Like Spring it never happened, however you may be pleased to know the forecasters are saying because of El Nino being exceptionally strong this year we may have a very hard Winter.

Yippee Norm. That will kill the big bug infestation around Europe.
Ticks are everywhere. I know as I am the great mama to millions.
My blood is like nectar to them I have the scars and marks to prove
it. Again at France I had to go get some cream and again they
found me. Its like being called No.6

Mind you they said that Ireland would have a harsh winter last year, and it was more like a little pussy cat…And generally mild.
