Good thread.

This has all the elements: great songwriting, satisfying vocals, enjoyable melody, compelling story told in a few short minutes, a phenomenal instrumental solo (at 4:45)…and in this case, even a little alliteration.

Great choices, Surfermom, and so good to see you in here.
Running On Empty is my favourite Jackson Browne track. It's rather more gutsy than his normally more reflective songwiting and a great "road" song.

I saw Spencer Davis in 1965.They were the opening act on the Stones tour.You got value for your money in those days
