"Rubber Plants"

You know that lovely "Rubber Plant" you keep in the lounge and spend time shining the beautiful leaves?

Here's a grown up one.

It is a Moreton Bay Fig.

By 'ec Brucey, that's a big 'un

I was never a fan of rubber plants. But if I was I think I would have enjoyed doing a bit of spit and polish on it.

A tree much revered by Buddhists, the tree under which The Buddha obtained enlightenment. Every Buddhist Temple seems to have such a tree.

I have a leaf from a local Temple (Nan Tien) picked by a Chinese friend of mine and placed in her shrine.

Moreton Bay Figs are on an all together different scale, Like wombats, you definitely don't want one near your house.
