For some strange reason particular Families seem have a litany of tragedies, I remember back in the 1950's when I was a boy, one family on our street seemed to have all the bad luck. First their son was drowned in the nearby river, he was 10 at the time, the sister contacted some strange disease and she died at 19, she was a beautiful girl, they were their only two children, about two years after that the Father got throat cancer (he never smoked either) and died, I remember saying good morning to him and he struggling to answer me back, but I never knew he was sick, the next year the wife got liver cancer and died, the whole Family wiped out.

Yes well, there's moaning and there's having a 'grumble' isn't there?....I like to have a grumble now and then...especially about something trifling...puts things in perspective for me and when I eventually shut up I realise how fortunate I really am compared to some others... but it doesn't stop me having another groan about not winning this week's xlotto or whatever!

Other than that it is all NRL or AFL depending on which state you live in.
It is only being beaten by New Zealand that upsets Aussies.
