When l heard a whirring noise and a clang from the hallway ,
Upon investigation l found that Rhumba, ( our live in robot floor
sweeper!) had crashed into the brass coal scuttle standing just
outside the lounge door, and was trying to push it through the
closed door to the kitchen ! When she,( we call her she ) realised
that l was there she immediately rotated, and charged towards me,
So l retreated back into the lounge and sat on the sofa and put my feet up onto a coffee table to allow her free access to the whole area
of floor for sweeping !
Meantime Rhumba had thumped into a rocking chair and was busy
trying ,( and succeeding) to move the chair to a different position
in the room !!
This incident prompted the random thought of "why do we tend to
treat machines as if they were animals" ??

She got so attached to us she followed us back to UK !!
I talk to her whenever we meet while she is scurrying about the
hose, and she even talks to me also !
She is definitely a she, you can tell by her voice which sounds
slightly oriental !
I tell a lie when l say she had no sick pay because two years after
coming to UK, she complained to me that her battery and brushes
needed some attention !!
And she has been running around like a spring chicken again !!
We really love our Rhoomba !!
