Dancing on Ice

Due to start after Christmas, in January.

I don't know how much of it I will bother to watch as there is talk of same sex couples dancing, and that doesn't appeal to me. Sorry if that offends.

Also Michael Barrymore is competing. Can't stand the bloke.

The good news is, Jason Gardiner has quit as a judge.
Another obnoxious, rude little creep IMO.

I'll probably watch the opening show, and decide then.

There was something on Radio 4 today about the possible trend of including same sex dance partners on these types of show. Interesting; I'll try to find out what program it was on and advise accordingly.

It's also interesting how, IMHO, these type of shows have had their day now and are been flogged beyond death. I draw your attention you to my thread about nonentities being referred to as celebrities.

Thanks for that link, Mags.
I think it's true what Len Goodman said:

" Speaking about same-sex couples earlier this year, former Strictly judge Len Goodman told The Sun: "If they do it, there'll be people saying, 'I'm not going to watch it any more, [and] if they don't do it, there'll be people saying, 'Well, you're homophobic.' They can't win."

Never watched it, and am less inclined to do so, if that is possible.

Re: Dancing on Ice

I never watch dancing programmes. They seem so overworked to me. To keep the dancing theme going, they'll probably think of something different to dance on sooner or later. Dancing on sand or treacle ..or something.

Re: Dancing on Ice

I was out with pals last night and we discussed this...the blokes said they would boycott watching it because of blokes dancing together....we women will watch ....I want to see what they will wear for one thing.....Will it be sequins and floaty things or will they both just look like fellas?

I'll be watching

Naked Skating Celebrities Got Talent on Survival Love Island in The Outback Strictly Dancing on Ice Championship Bakeoff... Dodging Flamethrowers and Juggling Chainsaws. I can just envisage it now.

Seriously, these kind of shows are just mental chewing gum for couch potatoes.
