I suspect 2 people could cook exactly the same meal, one in the UK and one in the Med using local produce and the Mediterranean one would ultimately be healthier.
bloody good point for a change Realist! bit like drinking champagne from the hills of France to the hills of say Cheshire?/

Yep, succinct and to the point, not a single conspiracy theory or link to the dark web.

"The Italian researchers who extol the "life saving" properties of the Mediterranean diet must have done most of their research in a country other than Italy.
Finding green vegetables to accompany the inevitable meat dish in an Italian restaurant requires dogged persistence.
Broccoli, cabbage and spinach exist in much the same way as builders' receipts. They are purely theoretical constructs, requests for which elicit puzzlement"

In the real world Med people start with veg soup, and don't have meat & veg on the same plate.

What about steak pie with baby spinach leaves, olive oil, parmesan and anchovies added?

Note: anchovies really boosts the steak flavour, and is a major ingredient of Worcestershire Sauce.
