Seaweed

Itsu Crispy Seaweed Thins

I love this stuff.

On its own, with bread & butter ...

But what else can I do with it?

Re: Seaweed

I have never thought of having them with bread and butter. I like them on their own when I want a quick snack, although it's a really weird experience. Bit like something astronauts might eat.

Re: Seaweed

You could come down to the beach here and collect some for free to make your own seaweed thins......................but................it's apparently so polluted now, it can't even be used by farmers for fertiliser!

Re: Seaweed

Or dulse or bladderwrack - both very tasty. Most seaweed is full of Iodine though - so don't eat it if you have thyroid problems!

Thank you Tabs ... I didn't know about that.

I'm on medication for hypothyroidism, so better leave the seaweed alone, stick to marmite on my bread & butter instead.

Re: Seaweed

As SO much of it is washed up with each tide, I was wondering if it could be bulk processed to produce toilet tissue. Think of all the trees it would save.

Personally i would dip them in Hummus.

I haven't seen those before, I shall look out for them next time I'm in Waitrose. No chance of getting them in Sainsbury's here, they have only just discovered tea bags.
