Union? That's a surprise,I didn't think it was that popular in Australia.
I was forced to play it at school for five years.Not being large or quick I found it a painful experience.That sort of thing puts a young lad off.

Re : Tim tams I was once told by an NZ colleague that you should stick them in tea and use them as a straw to suck up your tea. It was a pretty messy ritual from what I remember. Not sure if it's a national pastime or just her neck of the woods.
I will post the recipe,it's made with orange jelly,melted chocolate,shred less orange marmalade,..it's a "giant Jaffa cake"...
