Muddy I am going to be honest with you!
The first painting didn't look right to me because I thought the horse's eyes made him look "snooty".
The changes in the second picture, especially the eyes & nose, softened his features & made him look like a horse I would be happy to be with.
I agree with Mups about the bright blue sky, but maybe a hazy green and brown tree in the background would have kept the horse as the main feature if the painting.
The first one would have been a miracle if I had painted it
, but your standards & ability are much higher & I appreciate you showing us the changes. You are a good artist!
