Images of Hull

I decided to listen to some of our members' advice and go out with my camera (in this case my mobile) and start taking some photos. Naturally I have started with some pics of my home city, Hull.
This first selection is of the Hull marina and adjoining area.

Two views from the pier. The Minerva pub is on the left.

The Deep aquarium visitor attraction and River Hull tidal barrier.

The Merchant Navy lost at sea memorial and the 1914-1918 first world war memorial.

The Humber Dock Tavern (formerly known as 'Green Bricks').

From this part of Hull yes, Caricature.
The docks area a few miles away is still very busy, and we do still have a fishing industry. Plus the P&O North Sea Ferries set off from Hull also.

I used to visit Hull quite frequently on business. Mostly to a company on Amsterdam Road in Sutton Fields area. We collaborated on quite a few projects world wide.

I never really got to know the city although I do recognise some of the shots.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Images of Hull

Hi

Great photos Floydy.

My memories of Hull started decades ago when I was training, a 3am start at the fish docks.

My dad move to Hornsea to retire and I have many memories of taking the kids to Hull when we went to see him.

Very friendly people as well.
