I did mention the region Brucy! It seems that whole region
has major problems with pollution of all kinds to me?
Regards Donkeyman!
Assman, unfortunately you are thinking with a tiny European mind.
Malaysia stretches from the equivalent of the UK to Ukraine, Thailand from UK to North Africa, Indonesia from the UK to north of Afghanistan.
Some areas such as cites are polluted while others are not - people don't go to Bali or Sarawak for the pollution. This haze is seasonal and fairly local - Australian bush fire smoke can stretch further.

That whole area Brucy is classed as a region? and the
Pollution l speak of is not limited to haze, l also include
the rivers of plastic waste running into the ocean as well??
On the haze situation, l think Ozzie could help a lot by not
exporting so much coal to China and other places and thus
fueling YOUR haze problem??

Wash your mouth out Assman, our PM is in the US and didn't attend the Climate Conference because delegates were told, "...don't come with a speech, come with a policy." As ScoMo has absolutely no climate policy he thought his time better spent making a speech on WTO rules.

I did'nt ask a question about one of your politicians Brucy!
But about the fact of Ozzie exporting their pollution to another
another country?
As regards bush fires, imo it makes no difference where the
haze is coming from as it is only an indicator of the problem?
If the haze is there the problem is there!
And it is often the case that farmers use fire to clear land
and also to remove crop residues such as sugar cane etc??
On the question about my mouth might l request that you
provide some( as they say over here,) more clarity??

Dear me Assman, if you had read my posts and watched the clip of the then Treasurer and now PM then it would be quite clear why Australia still exports nearly 400 million tonnes of coal and is about to open up the Galilee Basin to one of the largest coal mining operations in the world.
Sorry I can't hand feed the information to you in simple to understand bite size pieces, unfortunately you do have to think a bit.
As for sugar cane it hasn't been burned since they stopped hand cutting it nearly 50 years ago (even then it was only to drive out the snakes and make life easier for the cutters). These days the cane residue is far too valuable as a biofuel (look up "Bagasse")
While you are doing that here is some lovely seductive music and BS provided by the sugar cane industry.

My post was not an attack on the Ozzie sugar industry Brucy!
But a comment on farming practises worldwide, but particularly
in the pacific region?
You also say that bush is burned in order to drive out snakes
to make life easier for the cutters!
So you now admit that Ozzie is killing wildlife in order to
make life easier for a few farmers and at the same time
creating climate change??? You guys seem to be employing
the same tactics as Brazil?? I thought you were an intelligent
and forward looking nation?
You also confirm that you are responsible for and intend to
continue to supply fossil fuel to other nations thus causing
further increases in atmospheric CO2?
And then bleat about the degradation of the GBR?
I Could continue in this vein, but as you seem to know, l am
not literate in matters of so called technology?

Poor old Assman, comprehension is not your strong point is it?
