I’ve only gone and done it
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I had an interview for a job at a nursing home as a maintenance caretaker, the interview went ok, and he said he would let me know by Friday, well Friday came and went and I heard nothing, I missed a phone call today and, as I didn’t recognise the number, I googled it, it was only the manager of the home ....so I rang him...he offered me the job...so I said yes......got home this afternoon and sent my resignation email to my manager ( he’s on holiday) so after thirty years as a service engineer,I’m off to pastures newIt’s less money, less holidays, but no no weekends, no travelling ( apart from the 20 minute drive their and back, and hopefully, a lot less hassle and pressure,, we’ll see how it goes..

Thanks all,Yes LT, money is not the b all and end all, happiness and peace of mind is more important, if it goes belly up, then so what, I’ll find something else, but if you don’t try... I also have an appointment with a pension advisor on Friday, that was going to be my way out, but things have changed a bit now, so I’ll see what the outcome of that will be...
