Not heard much about the Irish border lately?
Has it been solved?
Or was it never there?

I think it's still smouldering away in the background. Waiting to see the outcome on the General Election.

They're waiting to see if they can dupe the nation into voting Tory so they can deliver BRINO.

Boris Johnson*has been accused of planning to renege on the terms of his own*Brexit*deal, after telling Northern Irish businesses that he will not enforce checks arising from the proposed customs border in the Irish Sea.
Mr Johnson also sparked controversy by telling Tory members that*Northern Ireland*had a “great” Brexit deal as it retains access to the single market and freedom of movement – something that*the rest of the UK will lose under his EU withdrawal plan.

Maybe those Container loads of immigrants, paying, reportedly, up to 30,000 each, has made the politicians keep their heads down, about the border, until it all blows over?

I've seen very little said about how such disasters could be prevented.

Ofcourse they will... why on earth do you think we would be doing it ?

... to allow us to deal with everyone else.

Look at other countries we deal with that have huge human rights issues, such as India, China, Saudi etc. Do you honestly believe that the world sees the UK tearing up an EU treaty worse than say the issues in Egypt or Hong Kong ?

Most countries outside the EU don't even have a trade deal with the EU
