Sexual Activities

Just been watching the Women's Open golf tournament.

Am unsure why certain sports/games feel the need to hold gender based delineated competitions, where technique rather than innate strength is the modus operandi.

Can think of a few - snooker, pool, darts, bowling, golf(??), diving spring to mind. Feel free to add to the list.

Why the need to hold different gender based competitions when there is no physical difference in terms of "natural" outcome and performance??

Re: Sexual Activities

Differences between males and females may not be readily apparent, but they definitely exist. Take World Chess Championship Grand Master level for example. There are many excellent female masters , however there has never been a female who has reached the level of being able to challenge for the World Title.

The same applies to the game of pocket pool.

Don't know why Dex, historical attitude may have something to do with it, but the activities you mentioned are games, not strictly sports for which the fairer sex, do not seem to have a passion for, so, suppose I think, if you have no passion for something, you can never be top dog, or even in the running.

Re: Sexual Activities

I agree that there are many sports/pastimes which depend on skill and could be a shared contest of equals, but where there is an obvious physical advantage, such as weight and strength towards a gender, then it is surely fairer to segregate the sexes?

Yes, same with jobs, best qualified should get them.

I've never understood the need to prove you're faster or be the best a hitting a target or ball into a hole though.

Re: Sexual Activities

There is a great difference between male and female despite the medias (especially the BBC) attempts to cover it up these days....

Re: Sexual Activities

As regards snooker. With a table measuring 12ft by 6ft. Reach becomes a factor.
Most top professionals are around 6 feet tall.
