It can be encouraged, much the same as thoughtfulness, though? Younger children believe that everyone lives like they do, because they have nothing to compare it to yet....so it could be a good teaching opportunity.

A wonderful idea. We have farmers who put their produce out and you pay what you can afford. It’s a generous thing to do.

It’s a lovely idea but ..... what’s to stop some people just taking everything the same as honesty boxes ...they do get robbed and stuff taken dishonestly.

Nothing, I suppose...but it would get removed, and yet another person who tried to do a good thing for the world, regrets it and becomes cynical. Everybody loses out.

I don't trust people not to steal from those boxes. I prefer to donate money to charities, which help people in need.
