Rare Bird

It took me all of 5 minutes to find out what it was.
It is a rare Red Legged Partridge, what it is doing in my garden, I don't know.

Re: Rare Bird

What a great find in your garden Arthur - he/she is looking as surprised as you!

Well done for your quick action of 'capturing' it...

Re: Rare Bird

What a great photo and the surprise is captured so well.
It was probably hoping you were holding a camera and not
a shotgun. Poor thing.

Re: Rare Bird

I have been told not so rare, maybe rare where I have seen him, but other than that I have never seen one in my life before.
Apparently common in Spain, and that is where they came from.
