Online Shopping Anyone?

For me since I have discovered online shopping and managed to get over the fear of using my credit card I find myself enjoying the convenience of shopping from home. With the email specials I receive and taking advantage of free shipping when it applies, without a doubt I am saving some jingles.

Re: Online Shopping Anyone?

I do some shopping online when it suits me. For instance 2nd hand books and DVDs from amazon.uk because living here in Tasmania a lot of that sort of thing just isn't available.

I also order Nespresso coffee pods online because again they aren't available here in the shops. I've bought computer stuff from Apple and a few other things BUT I'm not going to buy clothes online after a couple of disasters with styles and sizes. I tried it but it doesn't work for me. I need to try things on.

I've been shopping online for several years now and have never had a single problem with using a credit card or with online banking. I can understand that some people are frightened of it but I guess I'm one of those people who think you can't wrap yourself up in cotton wool all the time and life is full of risks of all kinds.

Re: Online Shopping Anyone?

With the exception of food I buy most of my shopping online it means I don't have to face the dreaded shops. I hate shopping.

Re: Online Shopping Anyone?

Buy as much as we can on line including food, it's rare I go to a real shop unless it's something I can't do on line - prescriptions and posting parcels is really mostly what I do in shops. Oh I can't resist a charity shop though so I do visit them.

If you are going to carry out online shopping and haven't before I would get someone to do a thorough check on your PC beforehand. You need to make sure there are no nasties lurking so that your passwords or credit card details are safe from prying eyes.

Paypal seems safest way you don't have to give your details to each shop.
