Long posts in threads

I have noticed that there are some very long posts creeping into the forums. Nothing wrong with that let me hasten to add, but I just can't be bothered to read something going on about the same thing line after line

Re: Long posts in threads

Depends who has written them, I read if it's someone who hasn't copy and pasted reams of facts, I read if it's something personal someone is explaining, one poster I can no longer read because no matter what he says all I hear in my head is blah blah blah as he goes on and on and on

Re: Long posts in threads

Forgive me for mentioning this realspeed but some of your posts have been very long ones too, so itīs somewhat unfair to say that other posts are too long donīt you think?

Yes hands up Clumsy I am guilty of doing that as well. What is interesting to the poster may well be boring to the reader

Re: Long posts in threads

I don't read long posts. Can't be bothered to search for the point someone is making or trying to make. After years of being a member here and on other forums I have found that long post posters don't last too long. They miraculously vanish within a few months.
Probably because they are cheesed off with the rest of us not agreeing with them.
Do I care?

I don't mind long posts as long as they're interesting to Me,but My eyes glaze over at the ones which bang on about the same thing over and over.

Suprisingly Mr Ploppy this time I agree with you.

Ahh thanks, realspeed, it doesn't happen every day that someone agrees with me.
