Cloudy2Clear
Has anyone used a firm called
Cloudy"Clear or one like them to get the double-glazed units replaced when the seals are "blown"?
We've got 6 windows in total that are blown; some are two-part windows so count as 2 each.
They look steamed-up, but a few years ago all we got from the major installers was "you'll have to change the whole thing" and that was on the 'phone.
If the window gets smashed it can be replaced, even if it's double-glazed as far as I know, or who in their right mind would have double-glazing at all if one accident were to cost you a whole, replacement window frame AND the glass!
I know of people in the next street to us that have had
Cloudy"Clear in but I don't know them and it seems a bit of a cheek knocking and asking!
We're going to try to get them to give us a free quote, which their site says they'll do but first-hand info would be handy. stevmk2
