Sally in Corrie

Read in today's News Of The World that Sally Whittaker who plays Sally Webster in Corrie is battling breast cancer in real life .

I quote: Corrie star Sally Whittaker has been secretly fighting breast cancer-in a real-life tragedy which mirrors her TV character's storyline.

The mum of three was diagnosed six months ago-just before the storyline was filmed. Many actresses would have pulled out but Sally decided to go ahead. There was never any doubt in her mind that she could battle this. unquote

I feel very sorry for her and think she's very brave. It's strange as I said to my husband the other week I wonder what's happened to Sally as she hasn't been in it for a few weeks (as the storyline goes, she's gone to stay with her sister).

Also I never knew one of her daughters is an actress and has a part in Waterloo Road . Weve always watched Waterloo Road.

I've been wondering where Sally is, seems ages since she was last on Corrie.

She has been incredibly brave by filming the Corrie script on the subject ......... I wish her well and I hope she beats it.

It's amazing isn't it Mags, whoever thought she would be suffering with that in real life. There's so much of it around at the moment isn't there, what with Bernie Nolan suffering with it as well. Very sad.

Wondered myself how long it would be before Sally returned......that is so sad and she certainly protrayed her character bravely.......just heard yesterday about Bernie Nolan.......wishing them both well.

I think we all focus on celebrities health conditions, but there are a few ladies on here who have been through breast cancer....and they are equally brave
