I thought of something else watching yesterday's ep. Lying in bed, on his back, mouth closed...with what was probably a broken nose!I can't breathe through my nose at the best of times...certainly not after surgery/injury...it would be swollen.

Very well done! I felt some trepidation but they made a good job of it and stuck well to the book. Of course, they usually do with le Carre's books. The hero is well cast and Hugh Laurie is making an excellent Roper, isn't he? A very far cry from dear Bertie! That was a very long time ago though and he did the American doctor thing for a long time. Never saw that but this is excellent. Full marks so far!14-03-2016, 01:40 PM

Anyone still watching this?I wonder how it'll conclude (not read the original book).
Would either Jed or Corky be disposed of, as liabilities?
Would Jonathan turn rogue, and end up staying with Roper?
Would Jonathan run off with Jed?
Would Angela be disposed of, by MI6? Or will she get her man?
Can't wait.
