Your on a bandwagon.
Let's not forget that PFI was a Tory invention.

Privatisation came from "any willing provider" which the tories have enthusiastically turned into "any qualified provider". Labour wanted people to have a choice of private providers but the tories are just trying to cut costs and give us cheap and nasty.

You should check your facts Bread and do a proper comparison of services.

Watch it being whittled away.

PFI was used to fund a bridge in Scotland by John Major

Labour wholesaled it to hide the budget horror from the balance books ... dont think this was the Tories that privatised the NHS ... labour were in government.

Your revising history

Like I said you need to check your facts. Labour's pfis were for capital investment after Thatcher ran everything into the ground. When my dad was dying in the 90s they were rationing bedpans on the wards! It was a different story under labour. Now it's back to tory hell.

Sure do, Puddles.
It said on the news this evening that all our policing to protect him is costing us 3 million quid!

That's obscene IMO, when we can't get the police for ourselves half the time.

My dad died in early 94. The hospital was starved of funding. It was awful. Truly awful. Following years of cuts and then the recession. They had little equipment and the facilities were dire. People have forgotten what it was like after thatcher.
