met a neighbour today

Today I had a chance to meet and talk to the lady whose house is at the bottom of our garden. She had tree surgeons in to cut back an oak tree. So I had a word with them about ours, so they are coming Monday to give estimates etc and do the necessary as they have TPO's on them.

Anyway talking to the lady, and very nice she is, she was saying that she actually had a section of the fence repaired because the sods who lived here didn't bother even though it was their (now our) fence.

What staggered me is she said the previous owner instead of repairing the fence put an electrical barrier across the back which she complained about so he, the previous owner of here had to take it down.

What kind of nutter does that?? Shoves an electric fence between houses, it is beyond me, they spent absolutely nothing on maintaining this property

She didn't know we bought this place last year but I got the impression she was very glad the others had gone.

Surely there's a law against fitting an electric fence at the bottom of your garden, extremely dangerous, and with them being so strict with planning permission and other stuff you wouldn't think they would allow that, he sounds like a nut case to me. Was it of a high voltage Bazza, enough to kill a human or a small animal? I've heard of 'Shocking' neighbours but he takes it literally.

Well done Bazza, she is blessed with your presence. You cannot put
electric wiring at the bottom of your garden. Plus what did they think
the old lady was going to do jump over it
Even if you put that black tar stuff on top of a wall you have to put a
notice that it is there just in case the intruders get it on their clothes
poor things.

What about the glass they used to have on the wall when I was a lad nicking apples?, nobody cared whether I got ripped to pieces then.

It just goes to show what some people get up to. Bet this idiot it was more than likely 240v. I still can't believe someone would be that stupid.
