Took Jess to vet today as I had found a lump near one of her teets. Vet found several other smaller lumps and said they are mammory tumors. There is 50/50 chance of them being belign or malignant. They will remove on Friday and send to lab for analysis. Please send OFF hugs and prayers (if you believe in a god) for her. I can't bear to lose someone else I love after losing OH last year and her twin Becky will be lost without her.
She is 5 Meg and the vet said it is definitely not fatty lumps as the way they feel is wrong for that. He is positive on what he said so I have to believe that. He is very good.
Try not to worry too much Val. Mammary tumours can very often be treated very successfully and if Jess is only 5 her age is on her side. Has Jess been spayed?

No he is going to spay at the same time as he thinks it should be done. A long op on Friday for Jess She was so good today. She jumps on the table herself as larger dogs don't like being lifted much and she let the vet feel round everywhere without a murmur. My lovely brave girl.
As you say Val your vet is very positive and I don't think he would do the spay if he didn't think her long term outlook was good. Best wishes to you and Jess for Friday. I hope you will let us know how she progresses.
