My favourite plant. What's yours?

My favourite at the moment is this little rose, I think it's called Sweet Dreams but I lost the label moving house. I've never seen so many flowers on one stem! It looks like a Bridal bouquet! I had already cut some from this bush for indoors.
The photo doesn't do it justice as the buds are a more striking orange, opening to a peachy-pink.
I expect I'll have another favourite next week!

The Hot Chocolate rose behind it is suffering from the rain

Have you got a favourite this week?

This is a better colour match but I can't get it quite pink enough.

Beautiful, Tess.
Roses and Cottage Pinks are my most favourite flowers in the world.

I thought yours was the same as a new little patio rose I've just bought, but when I checked, mine is called 'Sweet Wonder,' and mine looks a little more pink.

This is not my actual rose, as mine has had it's first flush and is resting, but this is the one I bought.

There are so many colours in Pinks, but they all smell absolutely divine to me. One of my most favourite is called 'Memories' and it is a pure snowy white. The perfume from this one fills a room.
(Again, not my photo).

Then there is another beauty . . 'Candy Floss' . .

Amd 'Passion' . .

I love 'em all, and there are plenty more beautiful colours in these little flowers too.

And . . 'Doris' . .

Tiff, they don't call that 'The Butterfly Bush' without good reason, do they. Yours is a beauty.

I have a smaller one than you, but mine is one of those 3-coloured ones - mauve, white, and pink blooms. They are not often all out at the same time though.

My favourite plant?..I couldn't possibly say on the grounds that I may incriminate myself. But seriously : I love Australian natives which many of you would not be familiar with. My fave is the Waratah - the symbol of my state.

Re: My favourite plant. What's yours?

I like Grevilleas, they flower all year and attract birds.

I am not fond of plants like Azaleas or roses because they flower for about 5 minutes then are boring green (or in the case of roses - prickly) for the rest of the year.

When I bought this house 40 years ago the previous owners were rose enthusiasts, the garden was full of the damn things, people would call in to ask for cuttings (I told them to take whatever they wanted). I severely pruned the plants with a chain saw which lead to the following year being the best display ever. Following that debacle I attacked them with a mattock which solved the problem - my garden is a rose free zone .
