Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Not too bad this morning, rain forecast later.
Went to B&M yesterday to get a new hard brush-didn't have any but still managed to spend £25.76!
No plans for today-taking the day as it comes.
That blouse thingy the sewers had to make last night was a terrible looking garment. Our pal Nicole is still there Sue!
Have a good day,keep safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Soggy day here, so I've finished my jigsaw and put a cake in the oven for the gang. Just had a chat with DIL on the phone too.

I loved Nicole's flamenco skirt, but her facial expressions are something else aren't they. Poor Mark, I thought he would go - always seems to chose the wrong fabric. I was amazed that Matt could make a flamenco skirt out of scuba fabric! Never heard of a terno blouse, you learn something every day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Weekly shopping trip to Tesco,it's getting more and more boring ,but I should be glad I can go.
Pup got hold of my specs yesterday, had a good chew before I realised he had them.Using my upstairs pair for now.Ordered a new pair of bifocals on line this morning.Had my optometrist prescription from last year.Never ordered specs on line before.Didn't get an expensive pair as I'm due for eye test in August-Covid permitting.
Have a good day,keep safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

You'll never guess what turned up in the post yesterday - Rob's shielding letter - better late than never I suppose. Bit of a waste of paper. But at least we now have priority slots at the supermarket.

A friend has asked me to do some calligraphy for doctors who are retiring. Said I would, but nearly had a fit this morning when I saw how long the "Ode to Dr. Pete" is. 14 verses (which don't scan very well and have some really long lines). I've spent the whole morning and an hour after lunch trying to fit it onto a piece of A3 paper and I'm failing miserably. To add to the problem I can't get my finest, smallest pen nib to work. May have to admit defeat.......

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Rob's birthday today, but no family lunch at the Golf Club. First time we've missed for many years. Lots of good wishes from friends, a video call with Vanessa and a flying visit from Joy and the boys. Weird weather. Quite warm, but showery and then glorious sunshine from about 3.30 onwards.

Sorry to hear you are down Rhosyn, better tomorrow.
