It's very simple donks. The french did a little arithmatic. For a trade deal to start on 1 januari 2021 the europarliament needs time to ratify it. In view of sitting days already scheduled, the negotiated text for the deal needs to be ready by october.
So, voilá, the deadline for negotiations between barnier en frost: octobre.
So why panic? Just sit down and do what british are best at.

Hi

Macron is a Politician, he is playing to his Voters.

He has cards to play.

He knows he is going to lose Fisheries, which will seriously affect his power base in North West France.

He will be blamed for this.

He can recover this support by being the Hard Man.

He can stop the agreement to have our Border Control in France

EDF is owned by the French Government.

He can stop exporting Electricity to the UK and stop building our Nuclear Power Stations.

He can let the French Fishermen riot and block the Channel Ports to UK Exports.

France is not our friend and Macron certainly is not.

What benefit would there be to france pulling out of Letouquet ? For someone who claims to have worked in border security you don't seem to know anything about it.

If France blocked the channel ports it would move all their business to Rotterdam ... stop making up silly stories

99% of goods are paid after delivery between 30 and 90 days. Do you think French suppliers would want to destroy their own businesses ?

No, I didn't think so

For someone claiming to have lived in germany you are pretty ignorant about continental matters (even british matters).
