seems to be declining in the period you were in the EU. No causal relation of course
I wasn't talking about general suicide rates but specific to the sanctioning of benefits. We used to have a reasonably compassionate system some thought too generous, now we have people killing themselves because they see no hope or money or food.

As for EU stopping suicides think that's rather far fetched.

Re: Macron and Fisheries

Hi

Our Benefits System does need changing, it really does.

I have severe PTSD, as part of my treatment I go on various Courses.

The one I am on now is a Joke.

I am the only one not sent by the Job Centre.

The rest of them simply do not want to work.

You spoke of increasing suicides. Irrespective of cause, that should be reflected in the statistics. It isn't.

As for EU, I noted "no causal relation". But there is a clear correlation. You may reason that due to being part of the EU your general prosperity increased, reflected in decreasing suicide.

That was what I said nothing general about it.

If there were suicides caused by relatively sudden developments (as you describe), it would be reflected in the total number of suicides that is recorded every year. On the contrary, the number of suicides in decreasing for almost 30 years. So no evidence for suicides because benefits were denied to the victim.

Re: Macron and Fisheries

Hi

I will leave you all to your ramblings.

A decision will be made next week by our Parliament, that is the way our system works.

You are talking rubbish I'm afraid you clearly haven't witnessed the deaths from our benefit system and are making assumptions that because we are getting a little better at helping other people they aren't happening.
