Parses from BAU sounds like B(oron) Ore, XIT - Exit = gone.

You’ve got it right but that’s 8) not 5). Bauxite is the ore you get aluminium from hence Ore E-gone, Oregon.

Oops about the 5 typo, but my meaning was clear.

Nearly parsed it right with reference to something to do with an ore, but have never heard of Bauxite.

Maybe Bauxite is more obscure than I thought it was. I’ll never forget it after spending a day at an aluminium plant and taking several days and a few showers to get rid of the vile red metal Bauxite dust. Amazing that you get shiny bright aluminium from it!

Anyway, well worked out.
