Inspired by all your wonderful photos I have dug out hubby’s camera
It’s a canon EOS 500D.

I still don’t know how to use it except on automatic .
Any hints ?
Can I download a manual somewhere it didn’t come with one?

You might find one one the net, Muddy. Just Google the camera make & model & instructions & see what comes up.

Try playing with the Aperture Value: big wheel on top to AV mode. That's always a good start, and remains the favourite mode for many pros.

Yep. Get the PDF up and you don't have to read it from start to finish, just search (Ctrl+f) whatever you need to know.

But the technical skills of a cave woman .
I had a good camera once in my life even had long lenses and the like but then they went digital and I never know how to work them .
Ditto the washing machine .
The care radio
Etc etc
