High Street v online prices

Hearing all the time that I should support our high street shops I decided to check prices .

I wanted to buy some Faber - Castell polychromos .
These are colour pencils for drawing that I wish to try out .
They are very expensive.
A tin of 24 costs £49.95 from the art shop on the high street .
The same tin costs £22.09 on Amazon including delivery .

I am afraid I went for Amazon .

Well done Muddy.
It is wise to check and compare all prices before you buy.

If you check reviews on Goods,Hotels and purchases be aware that some Companies pay for good reviews that are fictitious

I saw this too Ray and wondered how they could be less than half price from Amazon and the same price on the high street .

They can’t be fakes as that would be against trading standards .
Just checked again and they have gone down to ......

Re: High Street v online prices

The problem ( as I see it ) is that high street rents are so exorbitant that prices have to be high ,

Hi

Amazon are notorious for selling fakes.

Counterfeits on Amazon .The Counterfeit Report, a company that helps manufacturers remove fakes online, said that it identified 153,000 counterfeits on Amazon in the past seven years and removed 53,000 on behalf of clients. More than three quarters came from marketplace sellers and 8 per cent from Amazon directly

Fake goods are huge business and Amazon do not care, they are after profit.
