Baz thanks for that link , i enjoyed the memories . Ive just seen the news and Freddie was on at his home in Spain , i didnt recognise him , i feel sad for him that he was so lonely and unwell . After making so many people laugh he died a sad man.

Re: Freddie Starr found dead.

In his Guardian obituary he was described as a "pre-cerebral" comedian
I get that.. he was a bit of his time, sexist, slapstick even.. but I used to love his impressions and his laugh-about, infectious but genuine mirth at his own performance.
He could have adapted and flourished..

His later addictions though, valium being the worst of them, destroyed him, in every aspect of his life and stole him of his personality

RIP now Freddie

One of only a few entertainers who could come on stage, say nothing and have the audience in stitches, laughing uproariously.

Yes I agree with that Cindy. I thought him hilarious, he never failed to get me rolling on the floor with laughter. A guy with many talents.

Re: Freddie Starr found dead.

I've just had the police at the door.... neighbours have complained at my raucous laughter

I'm ashamed to say but for his demise, I would have forgotten him.

I always say I hate technology, but I stand corrected. If we didn't have it, we couldn't enjoy the things that lift us up.
Thanks Freddie

He also, had a lovely singing voice, especially when he sang like Elvis Presley.

Rest In Peace, Freddie. I thought you were comedy genius.

Wasn't keen on his drumming though when he was with the Beatles.....
