Cassius Clay AKA Mohammed Ali

Hi

Cassius Clay, aka Mohammed Ali.

Now deceased, so sad.

My father admired him greatly, he died of Parkinson's and Ali was kind enough to send him a very personal message of support.

I will miss him
.
A fighter to the end, a lovely and very principled man.

The World has suffered a great loss, it would be good to see someone take his place.

Quite true Swimmy, a entertainer but also a skilled boxer, the reports through the night had him in grave condition i was sad but not surprised to hear of his passing.

R.I.P. Muhammad Ali. My son met him a few years ago at a book signing and shook his hand.He said his hand was enormous.

Boxing didn't do that guy much favours where his health was concerned. It is an extremely unpleasant 'sport' and should be banned, imo.

Hi

To each their own tarantula.

I am not a boxing fan myself.

I avoid violence wherever possible, but as an Enforcement Officer, some times it is necessary.

Ali used his gift to spread peace and understanding, I will not condemn him, or, Boxing for that.

Re: Cassius Clay AKA Mohammed Ali

I can remember getting up in the middle of the night to watch Ali when I was young. Even after all this time, he is still the greatest boxer and showman. I loved his humour and how he would antagonise his opponent by dropping his guard and inviting them to hit him. It's sad that his health deteriorated so much due to Parkinson's disease. Whether that was connected to his boxing or not, I don't know.

RIP 'The greatest'

Peace and understanding? He came over as a most unpleasant man who enjoy beating the cr*p out of his opponents.
