Re: What does your name mean ...

My forum name is the name of one of our daughter's dogs, a nice enough animal which has found favour in my eyes! As for my given name, now that would be telling!

Re: What does your name mean ...

Everyone of a certain age knows who 'Uncle Joe' was. Being a very 'Bolshie' former Communist, the name is appropriate.

I could equally have picked 'Uncle Len' (Lenin), or even Grand daddy Karl (Marx).

I don't think "Alan Cooke" has any meaning.

Re: What does your name mean ...

I suppose Aerolor is a bit of a silly name to think up. I have never made up a pseudonym for myself before and thought everyone chose a "user name" and not their real name. Anyway, Aero is because my son used to be called aerodynamic as a joke when he pretended to be superman as a child and it also sounds a bit like part of his surname but different spelling. The ...lor bit is a small part of my first name. A bit convoluted really and I think if I was joining the forum now I would probably use something a bit less silly

Re: What does your name mean ...

I don't think Aerolor is silly, but I was seeing it as a mix of aero and rolos, so I guess I was seeing through chocolate and caramel coloured glasses.
but the puzzle of ...lor? Is it Lorten? Gaylord? Lorrie?
