Whilst I don't officially work outside, I work in a factory which is basically a tin box, totally unheated , with two loading bays which are open most of the day with drivers coming and going, collecting and delivering. It's also a very wet envoirment and the yard is like a skating rink during the winter.It's my hands that suffer the most. They get so cold they hurt. Feet are ok cos my boots are designed to keep the feet warm at even minus 20, my body stays warm because I'm moving around and anything more then a t shirt and I'm feeling too hot, it's just the hands that suffer

No Roxy darlin' - it was long after I left the Merchant Navy - I was working for 'Shell' as admin support to team of Consulting Engineers on the Gas pipeline.
