Good morning Friday !
Another wonderful morning waking to the sound of rain on the roof. According to BOM this area has had 18mm of rain in the last 24 hours.No walk this morning even though it is a pleasant 20°, it is just too wet. The only fly in the ointment is that the smell of smoke is quite strong but perhaps that will decrease as the day goes on.
My green waste bin is still sitting out in the rain waiting to be collected

I am thinking of getting myself a rain gauge, I had one years ago but it I think it blew over in a storm and broke never to be replaced. The problem is that it is not an exciting record to keep because it can go for weeks recording zero.
The rain over the last two days has filled my water tanks so I now have 5000l of water for the garden and the next dry spell. Quite pleased about that.

Good Morning Friday and everyone!Off to Selby with friends today so, naturally, we are due to have rain. What a good excuse to be in shops, keeping dry! The latest forecast actually warns of a 15% chance of thunder storms - who are they kidding??!!
I am on a mission (well, two really) today - looking for a black and white jacket - hounds tooth or Prince of Wales checked - and - 'stuff' to wrap the joints of some plastic piping. Can't remember the name of it but will know it when I see it. Sort of 3" wide webbing that sets, secures,seals and is waterproof.

Good Morning everybody.I've been lying awake since 4.30 am & couldn't stay in bed any longer!!
Later today I want to go to my 'Healthy hearts' class and after that, shopping with Tony.
Still got the sore throat but it's not bothering me so much.
