Hudl/Tablet users.

My hudl has taken 10 hours to fully charge up today. Surely it shouldn't take that long?
To anybody who's got one- or a similar tablet. How long does yours take to charge?

Thank you.

I use my hudl in the evenings but leave it charging all day. I can't imagine it takes that long Carol. Seems excessive, but I've never actually checked it.

I'm charging with the adapter.
I wonder why it should take so long?

Could be a broken wire, dicky connector or dicky pin on the tablet. The charging point on a laptop/tablet is typically it's weakest point and since the powers that be enforced a "no lead in solder" law , all electrical equipment now produced suffers from dry joints and breaks on any parts that suffer movement. The constant plugging in and out of a charger cable puts stress on the little pin in the socket and on the solder connections of that whole socket where it attached to the motherboard.

Wiggle the charger plug and the cable whilst it is charging and see if the charging light on the tablet stays on or goes on and off.

You may need a new charger (you can get universal ones for a wide range of voltages from Maplins for peanuts) or you may need a new battery.

Re: Hudl/Tablet users.

I've only had it a few weeks - I hope I don't need a new battery.
I will try everything that's been suggested.

Thanks.
