Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good evening all. Jess you will just have to eat out & save your oven from ruin. I have a halogen which I use sometimes, specially for small dishes although it's big enough for roasts and whole chicken baking etc. I find it doesn't need pre heating and is a bit quicker. It is also easy to clean. I object to putting on my oven for a couple of slices of garlic bread so think the halogen is more economical for this type of thing. I actually put some washing out today & it dried. Hope we get some dry days which are a wee bit warmer and I will get some more weeding done. Recent rain has made the weeds sprout up. Take care.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
A late good Morning Lassies,..sunny here but a wee chill in the air...finished mowing the front, back, side lawns,so feet up with a coffee & jammy scone....enjoy Your lunches out Girls..You lucky People..I hope You're feeling sorry for poor ickle Me stuck in isolation for another 4 daysRe: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good afternoon ladies. I wasn't as dedicated as you May. I just weeded for a bit & scattered salt liberally. I'm longing for the day when I realise that the salt is working & no more weeds are growing. I will probably need a load from Siberia for that to happen. Hope you have enjoyed meeting up with your friends Jess. Did you stay local or were you in Glasgow? Roxy you are sounding quite upbeat this morning. Obviously the sun helps so I hope there is a bit more in the next week or two. It's been kind of mixed today. Cloudy & then the sun came out and, although a wee bit chillier at times, there was warmth in the sun. I don't think you're missing much May but you will be glad when you have some 'freedom' again. Don't go mad & party all next weekend. Take care all.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Morning, not too bad weather wise. Got some friends popping in for coffee in the garden shortly, looking forward to a girlie catch up.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good afternoon ladies. Beki I met up with my friends in Glasgow yesterday, lunch wasn't to bad but expensive for what it was. May not to long to wait until freedom day, then you can get out of the house. Roxy your wise to wait until the pool has been opened for a few weeks, then go for your swim. Sun is coming out here so its into the back garden to tidy it up a bit.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good afternoon all. Roxy I have had an email that the local pool & gym are opening mid September. I haven't looked at the website yet to see what measures they are implementing. I plan to be a frequent attender at pool and gym & get back to feeling fitter - best laid pans eh! It's good to catch up with friends Jess. These days it makes you feel almost normal. I did intend to go into the garden but I spent time chatting this morning and by the time I had lunch I just had a day off from weeds. Won't be long May. Remember & not overdo the socialising when you're free. The weather was good today with some sun & a bit of heat. If it stays that way this week I will definitely do some outside work. Take care.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Morning Lassies, boy it's getting nippy in the mornings car was all dewed up. Much more of this and I'll be out with the scraper. This is unheard of, the weather is really throwing wobblers these days...Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good morning ladies. Beki I did a bit in the garden yesterday, will really have to get out and do more. Roxy it certainly is getting a bit cooler now. Haven't seen any news yet so don't know what Doris is up to. Going into town later for a few things.Thread Tools | |
