silica trick works with camera

A few weeks ago the rear screen on my Nikon D300 was so faint you could hardly see it.
Didn't want to spend out to have it overhauled but discovered a trick which seemed to have worked,at least to a great extent.
I read if you put the camera in a sealed vacuum bag with silica grainule sachets it would help draw out any moisture in the camea
Well this is the result. Ignore out of focus that was not the point of the exercise.

Now one can see the shot in the rear screen which was very hard to see before

I have a lot of sachets in my Peli case to protect the lenses from getting fungus on the glass

I bought a huge bag of those from eBay dead cheap.. months ago..thrown a slack handful in my camera/ lens cases and bags, seem to work

I don’t really know mate, are you subject to moistness in that area LD.
